Covid-19 Re-Opening Guidance
Apr 27th 2020
To our Valued Retailers,
I would like to extend a special thank you to our independent retailers across the globe. Despite evolving city mandates, you continuously find ways to support your employees, customers, and families. You have been innovative in creating new methods to connect with your customers – allowing you to still be positive and responsible voices in your communities. For that, I am proud to have our company shaped around all of you.
I wanted to give you a little insight into some of the struggles that we have been facing so you fully understand our situation and be informed when talking with your brides. Starting in 2015, our Allure brands began production in two separate manufacturing facilities – one located in mainland China, and the other in Yangon, Myanmar. In January of this year, when we first became aware of the spread of Coronavirus in China, we shifted some production to Myanmar to prevent any delays in shipping. As the virus began to spread internationally, our Myanmar facility was shut down in April as a result of local orders and travel bans into the country.
This unforeseeable global spread of Covid-19 has created delays in our entire supply chain from production to logistics. We ask that you keep an open mind if your ship date is pushed back, but still well within reach of your wear date. Please understand that not all orders are affected and our factories will be working overtime once they return to get production back on schedule. We remain committed to not missing any weddings and strive to keep an open line of communication with all of our valued retailers. We will keep you apprised of any delays in your orders, and please don't hesitate to reach out to your Allure Customer Service teams with any questions or concerns regarding a delayed order.
We continue to operate at full capacity with our China facility and hope to be able to reinstate rush, and standard 13-week delivery as soon as we are confident in the stability of production and logistics. In the meantime, we have increased stock on our best sellers and have many of them already in production – so please refer to Alluresales.com to check for incoming inventory availability for quicker shipping. We will continue to keep you updated as these circumstances are constantly changing.
We hope you all continue to prioritize the health and well-being of your employees and customers as more shelter-in-place orders are lifted. The link below contains a brief re-opening guide with resources and tips we have gathered from insightful conversations with several of our retail and media partners.
I know many of us are eager to return to even the most mundane parts of our everyday routines that we previously took for granted. This pandemic has touched all of us – without discrimination – with loss, anxiety, and economic consequences. But this experience has also brought out some of the best of us and proven how committed and resilient we are as an industry. We look forward to seeing all your faces soon when we are finally able to gather again for markets, trunk shows, runway presentations, and all the events that have shaped the bridal community we are today.
Stay Well,
Kelly Crum
